His expertise and leadership influenced policies, industry standards, and best practices, shaping the future of fire management.
Randall's passion for science and commitment to protecting lives and the environment continue to inspire us. His legacy lives on in the advancements he championed, the lives he helped protect, and the industry he reshaped. Though he is no longer with us, his work endures, ensuring a safer and more sustainable world for future generations.
Nathaniel Mena
Vice President | Managed over 40M SF of M-Fire application
Nathaniel Mena brings extensive construction and operational expertise to his role as Vice President, driving M-Fire Suppression’s national expansion and operational excellence. With a background in multifamily, single-family, and commercial construction, he has served as both Project Manager and Site Superintendent on new construction and renovation projects.
Nathaniel has been instrumental in developing M-Fire’s QAQC program and standard operating procedures (SOP), enabling successful job site operations on over 400 projects across 20 states. He has built strong relationships with top REITs and national developers, educating municipalities on M-Fire’s solutions to support early occupancy approvals. His operational leadership extends to overseeing chemical manufacturing processes and negotiating international chemical imports.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Nathaniel’s disciplined, results-driven approach stems from his service, where he earned a Navy Achievement Medal, two meritorious promotions, and the rank of Sergeant in just three years. His innovative leadership during military operations earned recognition at the regiment and division levels for revolutionizing field communications.
Nathaniel remains committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence, driving M-Fire’s growth while ensuring its solutions exceed client expectations.
Silvio Lanzas
Chief of Operations | Former Fire Chief, 30+ years in public safety
Silvio Lanzas is the Chief of Operations at M-Fire Suppression, leading the advancement of organic fire chemical solutions. With over 30 years in fire service, he served as Fire Chief and Deputy City Manager for the City of Glendale, overseeing fire operations, emergency medical services, administration, and the Fire Communications Center. In his dual role, he also managed multiple city departments, driving strategic initiatives and public safety improvements.
Before Glendale, Silvio spent 25 years with CAL FIRE, rising through the ranks to Assistant Chief, where he served as Fire Chief for multiple cities, led technical rescue operations, and played a key role in some of California’s most destructive wildfires as an Incident Management Team Operations Section Chief. A credentialed Chief Fire Officer, he also served for 15 years on California’s Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 6 in key leadership roles.
Silvio remains active in community service and fire industry leadership, serving on multiple boards and advisory councils.
Chris Rickey

With over a decade of experience in project management and site supervision, Chris Rickey brings a deep, hands-on understanding of the multifamily construction industry to his role as Director of Business Development. Having successfully delivered thousands of residential units for top multifamily developers, he blends operational expertise with a strategic vision for business growth.
Chris leverages his industry knowledge, leadership acumen, and extensive network to uncover new opportunities, forge strong partnerships, and expand market presence. His unique ability to bridge construction operations and business development allows him to anticipate industry trends, strengthen client relationships, and drive value-driven solutions.
